Duferco Hellas S.A., a company based in Athens, has successfully completed the registration process on Montenegrin power exchange market and became twenty-ninth MEPX market member.
Duferco Hellas was founded in 2019 as a joint venture between Duferco Energia S.p.A. and Solaris Power S.A. This company, apart from power trading and supply, offers services of RES aggregators, possibilities of long-term PPA agreements for purchase of renewable energy, as well as market access services for various counterparties, while they also invest in RES projects in wider Balkan area. Shortly after the foundation, Duferco Hellas initiated its power trading activities in the region through subsidiaries in North Macedonia, Serbia and Albania, and at the moment they are registered on Italian GME and Hungarian HUPX. The vision of this company is to trade energy in the Balkan region by leveraging know-how from more developed markets, with the goal to be established as a key energy player in the Balkan region.
